There is no need to argue how important caring for the environment is. We are aware of the responsibility that comes with supplying heating appliances, which is why we systematically expand our portfolio with products that run on renewable energy sources. What is worth knowing about them?
Supplying heating appliances that not only provide everyday thermal comfort, but are also environmentally friendly is part of our mission, which we pursue consistently. Proof of this includes the ISO14001:2015 certificate and the product strategy we are implementing, based on appliances powered by renewable energy.
Ecological heating
Discussions continue around ecological alternatives to so-called “smokers,” or unrated boilers. One of the solutions we offer is heat pumps, which use energy contained in the air for heating: efficient, versatile, and environmentally friendly. These appliances offer many possibilities – not only heating rooms and water, but also cooling. Our pumps are compatible with photovoltaic panels, which generates savings for the household budget and also makes it possible to switch to an even “greener” form of heating.
Another ecological alternative for supplying heat is gas. Although recently there have been many fake news stories and speculation about a potential ban on using this fuel in heating, and consequently – a ban on installing gas boilers, there is no binding legal act that would in the future lead to a ban on using gas appliances. What is more – this fuel is recognized by European Union bodies as a green energy source. According to the Association of Manufacturers and Importers of Heating Appliances (SPIUG), of which Termet is an active member, reducing fossil fuel consumption is important, but it must be carried out in a sustainable and well-considered way so as not to undermine consumers’ energy security or deepen energy poverty, which has disastrous consequences for societies. With clean air and the good of the planet in mind, it is therefore also worth considering the purchase of a gas boiler, which will help reduce CO2 emissions.
Take advantage of grants
The solutions we offer have been included on the ZUM list (Green Devices and Materials) of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. This is a useful tool for verifying the eligibility of equipment covered by support under Clean Air (Czyste Powietrze). The program’s requirements are met by the condensing boilers we offer with a capacity of up to 50 kW that have a seasonal energy efficiency class. The heat pumps available in our range also meet the strict requirements of the Czyste Powietrze program. That is not the only program they are covered by – they have also been included in grants under the My Heat (Moje Ciepło) scheme.
What’s next
In addition to standard measures such as expanding the range, Termet is also involved in developing new technologies. Together with Fuel Cell Poland and Warsaw University of Technology, we are working on hydrogen fuel cell micro-cogeneration intended for heating single-family houses as well as small industrial plants and office buildings.
