The Sectoral Skills Center (Branżowe Centrum Umiejętności, BCU) in sanitary, heating, and gas installations has been officially opened at the Armia Krajowa Construction and Woodworking School Complex in Żywiec (Zespół Szkół Budowlano-Drzewnych im. Armii Krajowej). It is a unique educational facility on a national scale, whose aim is to train a new generation of professionals ready to work with the most modern, environmentally friendly heating technologies.
The project was made possible thanks to support from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Krajowy Plan Odbudowy i Zwiększania Odporności), the Ministry of National Education, and the Foundation for the Development of the Education System. The private sector also played an important role in the center’s development — including Termet S.A., a leading Polish manufacturer of modern heating appliances belonging to the Ferro Group.
A modern teaching base thanks to Termet S.A. appliances
As part of its support for the BCU, Termet S.A. donated a modern GOLD Plus II condensing gas boiler together with the Comfort and Serwis systems to equip a specialist central-heating boiler workshop. The Comfort system makes it possible to control the appliance via a mobile app and raises the boiler’s energy efficiency for heating purposes from class A to A+. Thanks to the appliances donated by Termet S.A., future installers will be able to work with solutions that meet the highest energy-efficiency and environmental standards.
Termet S.A. has for years consistently invested in innovation and developed its product portfolio. Alongside modern condensing boilers, the company also offers innovative heat pumps from the Termet Heat Titanium series, photovoltaic systems, and solutions from the EXPERT LINE series, which streamline the installation and servicing of heat-pump systems.
The company also actively supports the development of installers’ skills, enabling them to learn using real heating appliances. The Sectoral Skills Center in Żywiec is an excellent space for gaining proven knowledge and practical skills, responding to the needs of modern vocational education.
A strong educational base and cooperation with the industry
The opening of the BCU in Żywiec is an example of effective cooperation between local government, business, and educational institutions. The investment, whose value exceeded PLN 14 million, made it possible to thoroughly modernize the premises, equip them with modern equipment, and launch an e-learning platform.
The center has the status of an examination center for the professions of sanitary engineering technician and installer of sanitary networks and installations. As an educational facility it is subject to pedagogical supervision by the education superintendent. By June 2026, more than 200 people are planned to be trained at the BCU in Żywiec.
The BCU’s modern technical facilities in Żywiec are an investment in the vocational skills of future installers. Termet S.A.’s contribution to equipping this facility is an important element of support for vocational education in Poland.
